The JTWC projects that environmental conditions will deteriorate throughout the forecast period, with wind shear ranging from 35–55 km/h (20–30 knots) leading up to landfall; this will drive additional dry air into the storm’s core.
Sea surface temperatures and ocean heat content will remain favorable for the next 72 hours, slightly offsetting the impact of wind shear and dry air.
